Is my background check complete?

The length of time to process background checks can vary due to multiple factors, such as the number of counties you have lived in and whether or not they have a digital filing system.

Amazon or our background check vendor may contact you for more information, so please continue to check your email for updates regarding your background check. If inquiries are made, please respond to their email as soon as possible.

As soon as we receive the results from our vendor, we will notify you via email with the next steps.

You can also check the status of your background check via your pre-hire checklist:
  1. Log in to your candidate account at https://hiring.amazon.com/app#/login.
  2. Click My Account and choose My Jobs from the dropdown.
  3. Find the job you are applying for.
  4. Click View progress.
  5. Check the section on the upper right that says Screening results. This section will have the status of your background check.
If the status says Pending that means it is still in progress. Check your email for messages from our background check provider. When the background check is complete, it will say Completed. Please note, to protect your privacy, our agents do not have specific details about your background check.
How do I contact the background check vendor?

Amazon or our background check vendor might be trying to contact you for more information to process your background check. Please look for emails and/or phone calls from them. These messages or calls will include information about how to contact the vendor directly.

Amazon's background check vendor can help you correct any incorrect information on your background check, but they cannot change Amazon's hiring decision. Our agents also cannot change Amazon's hiring decision, nor can they escalate it for a dispute.
How do I access my I-9 form?

Your I-9 can be accessed through your pre-hire checklist:
  1. Log in to your candidate account at https://hiring.amazon.com/app#/login.
  2. Click My Account and choose My Jobs from the dropdown.
  3. Find the job you are applying for.
  4. Click Prepare for your Appointment.
  5. Under Due before your pre-hire appointment, choose the blue Start button next to Complete your I-9 Employment Authorization Form.
  6. Review the instructions for how to complete your I-9.
For English-Second Language roles, you will receive an email from amazon-i9@i9advantage.com with instructions on how to access your I-9 Form.

A confirmation email will be sent once you have completed Section 1 of the Form I-9.
